Overview
Kinetra is a mobile fitness app I’m building end to end, from the server to the phone, with its AI features running on open-source models.
This is a private project. I see real potential in it as a product, so the code and the technical details stay closed for now, and I don’t plan to open-source it soon.
The question
Can a fitness app run its AI coaching with open-source models, on the phone and a small server?
Key features
- Guided workouts and programs, usable offline
- A camera form coach running on the phone
- Body measurements estimated from a photo
- A community with automatic moderation
